Hello My Name Is...

Sarah Saucedo

Saucedo

Hello all; my name is Sarah Saucedo. This will be my fifth year living in Alaska. I moved from Southern California to teach in Shishmaref before coming to Stebbins. I have taught third grade the past years here and will be returning as the Instructional Coach and 21st Century Coordinator. This coming year, I will be the Curriculum Coordinator for the school. I will be learning more about our Eureka Math and National Geographic Reading programs.

I graduated UCLA with a degree in cultural anthropology; I have always loved learning about diverse cultures from the past and present. Then I attended University of La Verne and received my teaching credential with a Master’s in Education. I have enjoyed learning about Yup’ik and Inupiaq cultures/traditions while living in Alaska. This year I received a Yup’ik name: “Naucetaaq” which means “flower”.
