Hello My Name Is...
My name is Sarah Saucedo. I have lived in Stebbins, Alaska for two years and taught third grade both years. During this past year I had the joy of coaching the ski team and taking part in the annual ski meet in Koyuk, Alaska. I also helped coach one of Stebbins “Battle of the Books” teams. This coming year, I will be the Curriculum Coordinator for the school. I will be learning more about our Eureka Math and National Geographic Reading programs.
I graduated UCLA with a degree in cultural anthropology. I have always loved learning about diverse cultures from the past and present. Then I attended University of La Verne and received my teaching credential with a Master’s in Education. I have enjoyed learning about Yu’pik and Inupiaq cultures/traditions while living in Alaska. This year I received a Yu’pik name: “Nauciqtaaq” which means “flower”.
