Junior High Basketball practice Saturday, March 6th, 4-6 PM! If you want to practice and you haven’t turned in your completed physical and athletic forms, you must turn them in to the school by 5PM today (Friday, 3/5).

Students will be dismissed at 1:30 today so teachers can attend mandatory training.

GO GRIZZLIES!! At the 7:00 game tonight we will have a small Senior Night celebration for the Grizzlies Girls and Boys Basketball teams. We are limited to 140 people in the school during the game due to COVID, but we hope those of you watching the live stream from home will celebrate with us!

Mary Pete is Stebbins recipient of BSSD’s February Special Education Paraprofessional of the Month!
In her nomination, Special Ed teacher Cherry Malaque shares that Mary “communicates and collaborates well regarding her students' concerns and helps me understand the intricacies of the culture in the village. She welcomes guidance positively and is eager to help and learn.”

Although there is no school for students this Friday, 2/26, staff will work normal hours. Meals will be delivered to student homes.

No school for students on Friday, February 26. Girls Basketball this weekend! We need to manage contact between our students and the traveling ball teams, so we can be as "COVID-safe" as possible. Teachers will send a distance packet home with students on Thursday. Students can work on the packet Friday and bring it back to be graded on Monday.

The Association of Alaska School Boards is proud to announce its 30th Annual Scholarship Award Competition. The June Nelson Memorial Scholarship is named in honor of the late June Nelson, longtime school board member from Kotzebue. June contributed much to the cause of education and will be remembered for her outstanding service on behalf of Alaska’s children.
This 2020-2021 school year, AASB will award fifteen graduating seniors each with a $1,500 scholarship to apply toward their post-secondary education. The scholarship may be applied toward the student’s choice of a business, trade, or a college institution.
